Data stored on your device

The game saves your cup progress, your settings and the match in progress on your device, so you can continue where you left off. A paused match is discarded after six hours at the latest. This data is never sent to us or anyone else. On Android, it is excluded from automatic device backups.

To delete it, start a new cup in the game, clear the app's data in your device settings or delete the app.

Internet and permissions

The game works offline and makes no network connections. It uses vibration for haptic feedback. The Android version lists the internet permission because the app framework includes it by default, but the game does not use it.

On iOS, the game reads the time since your device was switched on, only to measure time during a match. This value never leaves your device.

When you contact us

If you write to us, we process your email address, your name if you give it, your message and any attachments, to answer your request. Our mailboxes are hosted by hosttech GmbH, Switzerland. We delete support emails at the latest 12 months after your request is closed, unless the law requires us to keep them longer.

App stores

You download Retro Cup ’90 from the App Store and Google Play. Apple and Google process data for downloads, purchases and updates under their own privacy policies. They may give us aggregated statistics, such as download numbers, and crash reports if you allowed this in your device settings. These do not tell us who you are, and we use them only to improve the app.

Your rights

Under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, where it applies, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you can ask what data we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, restrict or object to its processing and receive it in a portable format. Because Retro Cup ’90 sends us no data, we usually only hold the emails you send us. Write to privacy@bmmestudios.com.

You can also complain to a data protection authority: in Switzerland to the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC, edoeb.admin.ch), in the EU or EEA to the authority in your country.

Legal basis

Where the GDPR applies, we answer your messages to fulfil a contract with you or based on our legitimate interest in helping you (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR).

Changes

If Retro Cup ’90 changes in a way that affects your data, we update this policy and the date at the top.
