Data stored on your device

Das Mondtor saves your game progress and your settings on your device. To work offline, the game also keeps its own files in a local cache. This data is never sent to us or anyone else. On Android, it is excluded from automatic device backups. Deleting the app deletes this data.

Internet and permissions

The game does not connect to the internet. The voices are recordings included in the game; no speech service is used while you play. The Android version requests no permissions.

If you open a link to this website from the game, your browser connects to our website. The website privacy policy applies to that visit.

Privacy & Help in the game

A short version of this policy is available at any time under “Privacy & Help” on the title screen and in the pause menu.

When you contact us

If you write to us, we process your email address, your name if you give it, your message and any attachments, to answer your request. Our mailboxes are hosted by hosttech GmbH, Switzerland. We delete support emails at the latest 12 months after your request is closed, unless the law requires us to keep them longer.

App stores

You download Das Mondtor from the App Store and Google Play. Apple and Google process data for downloads, purchases and updates under their own privacy policies. They may give us aggregated statistics, such as download numbers, and crash reports if you allowed this in your device settings. These do not tell us who you are, and we use them only to improve the app.

Your rights

Under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, where it applies, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you can ask what data we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, restrict or object to its processing and receive it in a portable format. Because Das Mondtor sends us no data, we usually only hold the emails you send us. Write to privacy@bmmestudios.com.

You can also complain to a data protection authority: in Switzerland to the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC, edoeb.admin.ch), in the EU or EEA to the authority in your country.

Legal basis

Where the GDPR applies, we answer your messages to fulfil a contract with you or based on our legitimate interest in helping you (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR).

Changes

If Das Mondtor changes in a way that affects your data, we update this policy and the date at the top.
