Questions about privacy: privacy@bmmestudios.com
Data stored on your device
Iri saves which levels you have completed and whether the sound is switched off. This data stays in the app's local storage on your device and is never sent to us or anyone else. On Android, it is excluded from automatic device backups. Deleting the app deletes this data.
Optional diagnostics
For troubleshooting, Iri has a diagnostics mode that is switched off by default. If you switch it on, the app records up to 2,000 technical gameplay events on your device. Nothing is sent automatically. You can export the diagnostics through your device's share menu, for example to send them to us with a problem report. You decide whether and with whom you share them.
Internet and permissions
Iri works completely offline and blocks all network connections. It does not use your camera, microphone, location or contacts. The Android version lists the internet permission because the app framework includes it by default, but Iri never uses it.
When you contact us
If you write to us, we process your email address, your name if you give it, your message and any attachments, to answer your request. Our mailboxes are hosted by hosttech GmbH, Switzerland. We delete support emails at the latest 12 months after your request is closed, unless the law requires us to keep them longer.
App stores
You download Iri: Paths of Dawn from the App Store and Google Play. Apple and Google process data for downloads, purchases and updates under their own privacy policies. They may give us aggregated statistics, such as download numbers, and crash reports if you allowed this in your device settings. These do not tell us who you are, and we use them only to improve the app.
Children
Iri is made for everyone aged 6 and up. The app collects no personal data from children or anyone else, shows no ads and has no in-app purchases.
Your rights
Under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, where it applies, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you can ask what data we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, restrict or object to its processing and receive it in a portable format. Because Iri: Paths of Dawn sends us no data, we usually only hold the emails you send us. Write to privacy@bmmestudios.com.
You can also complain to a data protection authority: in Switzerland to the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC, edoeb.admin.ch), in the EU or EEA to the authority in your country.
Legal basis
Where the GDPR applies, we answer your messages to fulfil a contract with you or based on our legitimate interest in helping you (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR).
Changes
If Iri: Paths of Dawn changes in a way that affects your data, we update this policy and the date at the top.
